price check on savage combo gun

I have a chance to pick up a savage 20 guage/223 remington combination rifle in good shape. The OP is asking $350 and was wondering if thats a fair price.
Anyone own one of these and if so how do you like it ?

I am by no means an expert, but have seen Savage Model 24 combos go for much more than that in the EE. I'd buy it for that price.

x2 They usually go for $400-500 on EE. If its in good condition, its a good price.

If I wanted one, I'd be glad to find it offered at that price. I gave $500 for my used, good condition 24F in .223/12ga some years ago.

I got mine from a reputable dealer. And I feel it was a fair price as far as I could tell from the market at that time. If you can inspect that gun and you are happy with the condition, I would think $400 is still a good price, but only you know how much time and effort it costs you to have $400 and what else you might do with it.

I don't know about older versions, but according to Savage the way mine is made doesn't allow the barrels to be regulated after manufacture, and indeed on mine they don't shoot to quite the same point of aim. If you can get a shooting trial of that one before you buy, do.
