Browning Bar with 2 clips, sling, case, new 3*9*40 Burris scope.
$600 firm.

No idea how old or what exact model.
Any good? Haven't seen it. Lets assume it is in good/ok condition. Don't want to drive out to look if the price is whack if you know what I mean.

Is it even a good rifle? I was going to buy a Tikka. Never met anyone who owns one so have no clue.

Seems like a sound deal. The burris scope alone is worth 250-300 if new, so unless the gun is a complete Piece of $hit, I would buy it. Good luck getting a Tikka/scope/sling/clips/case for anywhere near that price, but good luck getting a semi-automatic to shoot near as well as a Tikka.
 
Yeah I was not really in the market for a semi, but I was just wondering. I know Browning makes good shotguns, but again never heard of anyone owning a hunting rifle.

I will call and see how old this thing is.

Generally the Browning BAR is a solid well built rifle. As far as accuracy goes, they beat the snot out of anything Remington builds.
Hunted with a 270 BAR for quite a few years and hit everything I aimed at.
$600 seems like a decent enough price depending on condition.
