I bought mine not too long ago for $550.00 in a hard case. It was hardly used, very much like new.

what do you think of the quality of the gun....?

I've got one, I paid $750 for it and I think the quality is excellent. It's actually made by SKB in Japan, and they are still producing them.
Most people will agree that they are heads and tails above any of the less expensive O/U available today and when you disregard the lack of removeable chokes they are a match to most of the midrange "B" guns as well.
My opinion of course, but I haven't ever seen anyone badmouth them.
