A friend of a friend is offering a Remington 7600 in .308 for $400.00 CDN. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm told, "Its in great shape, he takes care of his guns." Is $400 a good price?

Not bad if it is in good shape, they go for $600-ish new for synthetic, $700+ for wood.

If it's in as good shape as stated then as Suoercub said-It's a good deal.I just purchased a 7600 in 30-06 from a friend last night for $500.I know the gun and it looks like it just came out of the box and it doesn't have a 100 rounds throught it yet. Cheers Bac4

I just bought a 30 year old Rem 760 in 30-06 that looks as new. Paid 450.00 shipped to my door. 400.00 is a good price. Since 7600 are not a big $ gun, I would not pay anything over 500.00 for a pre-owned gun.
