What would this be worth?

Savage 99C in IMMACULATE condition. It has fired less than one box of ammo. Was sighted in once, taken out hunting on one trip about 15 years ago and that's it.

It is fitted with a Tasco 3-9X40 ($100 Scope)

And an original Savage leather sling also in Immaculate condition.

A buddy of mine is trying to sell one locally, I told him CGNers might be interested as we have nothing we can legally hunt on PEI with a .308

Just saw one with the same condition go for $550 without the scope, take it from there.

The scope adds very little to the value, for the seller. If the seller thinks the Tasco scope is worth a hundred bucks, he has a nasty surprise coming.....as I have personally found out a few times.

The sling also adds very little value, for the seller, and might better be sold, with the scope, separately.

Both the scope and the sling represent value to the BUYER of course, but typically they will not add to the price of the gun, just the speed with which it sells and the desireability of the piece in potential buyers' eyes.

Free advice, worth what you paid for it.

Why not list it a bit high, maybe 99 collector would buy it, if not you can always work your way down.
Sounds like a nice rifle, you need to post some pics to appreciate it

Was offered a VERY similar outfit - condition, similar scope , maybe 3-4 boxes of rounds through it for $ 550, in a gunshop (so he paid less). Still was sitting there 2 months later.

Still a nice hunting rig
