Hi, Sorry if this got covered somewhere else, I tried the search function and came up dry. Just looking for a price check on an sks-d in decent shape. I may have found one and i'm curious what's a reasonable asking price.
Thanks!

Seen them as low as $200.00.

Seen them as high as $500.00.

Are you buying or selling? This will definitely effect the #'s you're getting from people.

Buying. Found one listed without a price... just want to know what's reasonable once I talk to the guy.

Need to know the condition and what it comes with to give a proper answer. Having had a lot of them pass through my hands, what they come with and how they are setup determines the price.

If it's an EE ad (doubting that because you cannot list a gun without a price) you can link it here. If it's outside of CGN, you can refer to the link, but not directly link to it. From there, a price can be determined.

Getting pictures later. Add doesn't say anything other than sks-d for sale and phone number. Just looking for ball park for one in realy good shape, 1 5/20 mag, 1 5/5 mag. Low round count since being acquired 4 years ago.

If it's an SKS-D in it's original wood with a 5/20 and 5/10 mag, expect to pay around $475.00 shipped for it. Last one here with that configuration went for approximately that price.

If it's in a sporter or ATI folding stock without the wood stock, ask less.

If it's in a Tapco stock without the wood stock, $475.00 shipped is a fair price, but you're stock with the aftermarket stock forever and good luck finding a Model "D" wood stock to replace it. (they are not the same as a Type 45 or 56 stock) Basically you're getting a $100.00 stock and a $50.00 mag so you're only paying $325.00 for the "D", but no wood stock.

The best configuration is in the original wood stock or with an aftermarket stock you can take off, re-sell, and put the wood one back one. Other than being Chinese, they shoot better in their original stocks FWIW.

Ask $375.00 for it, and maybe he'll meet you 1/2 way and you get a deal.

I bought my SKS-D off the EE a couple years back and would part with it only for premium $$$ over what I paid for it. It came installed in an ATI side folder stock, receiver cover scope mount, cheapy red dot site, one 40/5 mag, one 30/5 mag and one five rounder. It also included the original chinese wood stock...If I was to sell it I would be looking for $550-$600ish...I know that sounds high but that's what it would take for me to give it up because I enjoy it so much!:D...It's also my wife's favourite out of all the choices in the safe. She has a smile a mile-wide when she's taking out milk-jugs @ 100 yds with it!

I don't really see the value of the SKS-M or -D, other than the acceptance of AK magazines.

M's are very rare and while they are fugly one is missing from my collection. Once just came up here for sale and based on all the parts and mags included with it was a bargain. I sadly missed it.

D's are also rare, and people who don't want to spend $700.00 on an 858 go for a Model D.

And, they take AK magazines! :)
