Hi. Another price check tread...sorry. I'm thinking about moving this Steyr. I don't know anything about these, but my best guess is that its a 1895/70 carbine? Looks to be in decent shape. Any help would be appreciated. I got it with a couple of stripper clips from 1939, but never fired it.

I've been looking for an M95 so I've been watching the EE. It seems they (carbines seem to carry a bit less value than the long rifle) move at 250-300 and sit when they're listed at 400ish. YMMV

I paid about $400 for similar rifle you have on the photo. At some shows they can be found cheaper however you have to keep looking

These were modified for the 8x57S and the extractor was easily broken if someone tried to single load them directly into the barrel............parts extinct........Harold

This is referring to the M95Ms modified by Yugoslavia in the 1920s. The OPs is a M95/30 in 8x56R in nice condition.

The M95/30 is slowly climbing in $$. I bought an M95M last winter, and when I picked it up, found that it wasn't really original. Someone had doctored up the top hand guard from an M95 to fit. I have several M95/30's and a couple of sporter M95M's. The little sporters are both nice to carry and shoot. Both models are loud and kick pretty good, but are fun.
