My friend has a Winchester commemorative Comanche 30-30 that he's thinking of selling. Brand-new, unfired with no box.
Could anyone who's been to a gunshow lately please pass on what the average selling price for this oddity is? Thanks in advance.

Winchester commemorative's are only worth big money('big' being a relative term) if they're still sealed in the box. Otherwise, they worth the same as any other Win 94. And then your buddy will have to find somebody who wants it.
Winchester made 11,511 Commanche's in 1975. Engraved bright gold receiver, medallion in stock, 20" round barrel, leather cartridge holder for stock. Considered to be a Canadian rifle. Kind of odd since the Commanche's were a Southwestern U.S. tribe.
There's one in Chilliwack Dart and Tackle, a B.C. gun shop. They're asking $650 for though. You don't see 'em in shops much because they don't sell quickly enough.
Epp's has a few Little Big Horns(11,350 mfg and Canadian made too. Roughly the same as the Commanche.), one in the box. They're asking $749 for that one, $699 for one with a worn box, $650 for one with no box.

IMHO...Some of these prices seem a bit high as these sit on the shelf awhile and I'm thinking $500 tops. Some of the Comms. draw more, like the Diamond Jubilees, and John Waynes, etc.
