A friend just inherited a 1867 Centennial Winchester, 30-30 with an octagon barrel, unfired condition in the box with manual etc. Dunno if they all have it, but this one has a Maple Leaf motif engraved on the receiver. What's a ballpark value?

GAH! Don't know jack about them, thought they would be uncommon, didn't think to do a search here first. Looks like it's already been asked a few times... Sorry bout that, but thanks for the input.

Canadian Centennial Commemerative 1867-1967, I suspect the all black receiver is actually black chromed. Of course being a post-64 there may be parts breakage issues (IE shell lifter) The good news is, there are plenty of spare parts around.

Well before angle eject, so typical top eject.
It can also take a Williams Foolproof receiver peep sight, but forget about an old style tang sight. No second hole for mounting, drilling through chrome plate, NOT.....

Mine shoots very well though, so the barrels are of acceptable quality.
The 26 inch rifle variant hangs nicely from the offhand position.

I never personally heard of a Winchester lever gun that would not group okay, but there was a rumour of the 100th Anniversery M94, with the unsightly push button safety, that Badger Ordnance actually was subcontracted for making Winchester barrels that year?

There is one on the EE for $1500, I think he's on crack or something.

Another poor fella who got bad advice from someone who doesn't know prices.................:(

In the early 80's I did see someone buy one from an Edmonton shop for $900 tho......guess it meant something to him.

I just sold mine for $450 it was new and unfired but it had a little rust on the tip of the barrel and did not have the box

I've noticed that some of the Canadian Centennial rifles have been reamed to "improved". I have 1 and have seen several others. The one I have seems to have been poorly done and the fired cartridge sticks a little. Anyone else have any info on this??
