Price Check

Price check on 2 guns for a co-worker of mine. She just got them back after 2 years of storage. The first up is a Remington 700 in 270 with a leupold Vari-X II 3x9 and Leupold base and rings. Its in pretty good shape with a little bluing wear at the muzzle, a few stock dings as well. The second is a Winchester carbine in 22-250 with an old Armsport 4x scope. This one has minor rust and a lot of bluing wear, especially on the barrel. The stock is also a little on the beat up side but the bore still looks good. I'll post some pictures, if a consensus is reached on a fair price they will be posted on the EE, thanks.

The 270 with the leupold is in the $700-$750 range, IMHO.

I was thinking around $600 for the Remington would be fair with the Leupold, which is in excellent condition, does this sound about right? Not sure about the Winchester.

I agree with Pat on the price of the 270, looks like a Mountain Rifle.

I believe you'd be doing well to get $400 for the winchester. Small niche market for a compact 22-250 with a short barrel! More likely someone that wants the action for a build.

Also, that action is more than likely a long action with spacer blocks in the magazine rather than a true "short action". 350 - 400 would be a fair selling price for it.
