Looking to price for possible sale my Dad's vintage Winchester model 12 16 gauge pump in operating condition. Some light spotting. S/N 828*** 28 inch 2 3/4 chamber. Full choke. Date manufacture btb 1940. Detailed photos thru links. Thanks

I see dealers asking for $500 to $ 600 for Model 12 16's in excellent condition and they have been asking for those amounts for a year or so and haven't sold them. From what I can see from your pictures, I would rate the gun in question on the lower end of good and as a 16ga collector would value it at $200 to $225.00
 
200 dollar gun...maybe 250 if the right dude came along. A plain Jane field grade in fair condition. Lumber looks good though. 16's were not too popular amoungst M12 people. There has been a bit of intrest as of late but again minty guns with rare options such as ribbed/mated barrels, skeet, etc. hold the best value. The 16 gauge M12 was always my favorite though!
