i picked up 100 primers today in NB 4.50 for 100,45.00 per 1000.

That's a VERY good price. Primers and components in general are going up in price (some have already gone up) due to various reasons. Inflation is just one of them
Stock up as much as you can NOW, or pay more down the road...
