I have a buddy who has one and I just wanted to check and see how much one of these would run for. I do know there were only a few that came into the country and now with the ITAR, they are next to impossible to get.
Just checking with the SME's out there. PM me with your info or post here.
Thanks,
Hoddie

Many of these M203 "re-welded" do not have safety for some reason. I will pay more if it is not a re-welded and have functional safety.

Every one that I saw for sale was priced at about CAN$2000.

But that was before it was considered a firearm and before we'd learned about the CGD and any requirement to register it.

I got my first one for $800, the second a year later for $1200 for OGT.

Lot cheaper than I got the Hk AG-C's.

However they are prohibted for civilian import into Canada (and export out of the USA) so supply and demand has ratched up the price a lot.

I recall $1200 and no paperwork before someone fkd it up for everyone.

You are mistaken.

OK, maybe not.

Back in the day, mid 80's, they were being sold, complete, for $600. Then the price steadily increased. OGT last, was selling stripped receivers for the $900 range. Then of course, one had to find some internals and a barrel. However, back in the day, those parts were, relatively, easier to come by than today. A complete parts kit with barrel was in the $500 range. So even at the worst, a complete one could be built for approx. $1400ish with new parts. Most every one of the imported ones were ex-IDF and purchased literally by the pound.

There has been some amazing things with the 40mm world. Some receivers were built from a block of aluminum, and done extremely well. Vary Vary nice.

What is a Colt 203 worth nowadays???? As per all the above reasons, hard to tell, and just what the market will bring. If someone wants one, could be lots, if there is no one who is getting a hard on for one, could be less than a couple thousand.

Most who have gotten them, haven't taken the time or effort to make or obtain proper ammo. Once the ammo situation is solved, they are a ton O fun. So we've seen some guys buy them for s&g but get rid of them later because they didn't use them. So some of these guys are getting greedy thinking the 203s are worth big bucks. But unless there is someone who is willing to pay the price, the money isn't there.

At least that's my .02c worth as a casual observer.

He's set for life! I've got some Ocean Front Property in Arizona and can set him up with Ball Park Hotdogs for Life....until the Cholesterol gets ya....or the Greed!

They started selling at $350 when OGT brought them in. At that time he couldn't give them away at $350. I remember he was trying to pawn them off at on a 2 for 1 deal. I think it was 2 for $500. But as the supply dried up they steadly increased. They went from $800 to $1200, $1200 to $2000 and so on. If I only known I would have be a rich man...
