im not sure what its worth. i paid 1000 for a 1911 made in 1913 in very good condition. if its real and the serial number is actually 9 it shoud be worth a #### ton to the right person.

he's from valcartier and we're both in gagetown right now so getting pics might take a while (unless he's got them at home, but i will post some pics for you guys at some point in the future)


Tell him it get his wife son gf or who ever to get the gun out snap some pics and send them to him.

Seriously, I also would love to see pictures of No. 9. Colt likely did make that pistol back in 1912 and it may survive.
 
I believe number 9 was donated to a museum in the US by the founder of Guns and Ammo magazine. I will see if I can confirm that in the morning. He owned many other successful magazines and he had a very extensive firearms collection. Course it could have been 6 that I was thinking of too!
