hey guys, I was at the local gun store today and saw a Lee-Enfeild "trainer". it look identical to all the other Enfeilds in the rack, full wood, long barrel, kinda beaten up looking. and I was thinking that it's gotta be sort-of rare. am I wrong about this? it's just I never knew that there were "trainers" out there. can somone enlighten me please, I want to learn.
also, what is the going price on such a gun?
Thanks again fellow CGN's

There are a variety of .22 rifles based on different Lee Enfields. Could you describe the rifle in more detail?

Sounds like a #7 enfield. We have used them in cadets for marksmanship training and competition for years, along with Anchutz .22's. Not exactly 'rare', but not abundant either. Any #'s on the one you saw?

It's probably either a CNo.7 or a No.2MkIV*

If the former, without chest and accessories and beat up, it's probably worth about $350. About the same for a used but not wrecked No.2MkIV*

Hmm, thanks for the input. I'll try and get out there for another look and maby some numbers off it. I just sort of "noted" it at the time. I was actally there for a lever action, but went home with a handgun......wtf?! ahh it IS a strange obsession isent it..

Cheers,
