Prices of old rimfire ammo??? What would be ballpark?

Locally I threw up some ads looking for real old 22 shells and their original boxes. Thought it might make a cool display in the mancave. What should a guy expect to hear from potential sellers as for price? I`m pretty much thinking not to pay even close to what new is worth. A box of 50 around here is anywhere from $3-$8.
Am I out of the ballpark? Are they worth way more depending on brand/etc.

Unfired old rimfire ammo with original boxes will probably cost the same or maybe a little more than current production ammo. It is often found at gun shows and can be anywhere from $2-20 for a box of 50 depending on rarity and condition. Most of the time I've seen it (not often since I don't normally look) it's been $5-7 a box.

Old 22 same as new or very close. If its some old out of production rf cartridge a lot of cash.
