My father in law has cancer he is most likely on his way out. My wife who is not a hunter or a shooter is now in the process of getting herself a restricted pal, because she wants her dads guns to stay in her family forever. See her great grandpa was a sherrif in the early 1900's in the town of Neepawa and that old Iver Johnson pistol has one hell of a story to tell. For my boys and daughter and maybe their kids down the road some place god willing .

I think guns and rifles make great family heirlooms, they mean as much or more then grannys china or her wedding band.

This is why I got so upset when I read this thread.
Take your buddy out teach him to shoot, show him the light that his dad was unable to.

But then again if it were not for guys like him those really great deals would be hard to come by.
