Can we buy direct from Russia with Euros? The Canadian dollar is up compared to the Euro. You'd think Russia would be eager to sell before any more economic santctions take place.

Ruble is plunged on 70% to CAD during last year.
But price for ruble goods in Canada will jump up....

All transaction done in USD. Ruble was never used to purchase any items. As to Americans and Russian do not like each other comment this is BS. Russian still supply Afganistan with Russian made helicopter purchased by America with USD. Also Kalashnikov and all sorts of Ammo. US is number one buyer (I think) of Post Soviet military goods.
