Why are the Remington rifles so much more expensive than the Savage. Savage may cut a couple of corners, but is a Rem really worth $400+ more for the "tactical" models.:confused:

Its half in the name, and the other half is just cause they can.



Sorry for the shoe compairson, my woman just bought 550 dollar prada shoes that look just like that 90 dollar ones at aldo, so I dont get it.
 
I would suspect that stamped tin trigger parts are less costly to make. Certainly the barrel installation method Savage uses is more cost effective.
Depending on what models you compare also makes a difference.
The Savage LE series with the HS stocks are within a couple of $$ of a 700P.
