I'm a bit of a fan of LPVO's, and I think I just found my favorite new 1-8. If you find yourself looking for one, or evaluating between compact options, here is my experience:

I like them, a friend has the 1-6 versions. They make a lower end version with an illuminated duplex reticle as well, almost picked one up but I wasn’t sure how it would handle a bit more recoil than a .308/7.62 nato. PA told me they would warranty it if it were to break under recoil but they recommend I go up in their line quality wise, they don’t do the illuminated duplex in their higher end lobo’s unfortunately.

The CLx 1-6x24 would be a nice hunting lpvo I would bet, they retail for $329cad currently.
