Primary Arms 1-6x & 1-8x?

So I was all geared up to pick up a Vortex Strike Eagle 1-6x tomorrow when I stumbled across the Primary Arms 1-6x and more interestingly, the 1-8x

This will be going on my AR-15 (got a Vortex Spitfire and VMX-3T on there for now which will probably migrate to my rimfire) - I like Vortex and the warranty is unbeatable

The Primary Arms 1-6x is ~$50 cheaper and the reticle is geared up for 7.62x39 (which is what I will be using it with)

The Primary Arms 1-8x variant is essentially the same unit as far as I can tell except it has an upper limit of 8x (has to be a plus) but the reticle is geared towards larger calibers

Has anyone used the Primary Arms? I have searched and found lots of info on the Strike Eagle but the info on the Primary Arms is a little more sketchy
 
The PA scopes are quite attractive at their price point. I worry a little that the ACSS reticle is a little busy and might be a little slower in a competition setting. Also it would be interesting to hear how well the PA warranty works from a customer experience perspective; we have heard lots of great stories about Vortex.

Yeah, the Vortex warranty is pretty solid and thats an attraction for sure

I`d be curious to hear from anyone who has used the 1-6x and if the holdover marks work as intended
 
If the 1-8x (which has the BDC marks setup for 556 & 308) were to be used with 7.62 x39 I assume all the marks would be waaay out to lunch?
 
Maybe ask CTCS about the warranty, they should know, there selling them. I have a little experience with the strike eagle and wasn't very impressed but really don't have enough time with one to give a honest opinion. The distortion was pretty bad, I though worse than my Bushnell 1-4 but I didn't do a direct comparison so take that with a grain of salt.

The PA 1-6 and 1-8 look good on paper, I would like to get behind one. I like what I see as far as the reticle goes. Looks like the BDC and ranging stuff is small enough to disappear on 1x and should work well at max power.
