Here’s a quick review of PA’s PAC3X with ACSS (Advanced Combined Sighting System).
Few years ago, they made a 3X prism scope without the ACSS reticle.
Now they came up with this new one and was surprised to on a dealer here while on PA’s website is currently OOS and will be available early April. For the price I paid for it, its still a good deal when compared to importing this scope alone factoring conversion rate plus import fees and taxes.

Some comments I read was the base’s screws are a little small as it’s a pain to remove and it keeps the allen key stripped. It was due to Loctite and now PA has pointed that out in their website to heat up the screws before removal. When the base is removed, it could still be mounted on an AR’s fixed carry handle.

Individually etched serial number; rubber seals evident.

The top rail is not recommended to be removed. There is rubber gasket on underneath and this is where they may have purged the nitrogen. It will leak if rail is removed.

It has 11 illumination settings. On the old model, saw in youtube that the knob clicks but is a bit loose/ with play after each click. But I find it sturdy and tight on this current model. I hope that it stays this way even after long use and frequent knob adjustments.
Also noticed the illumination indicator was cheaped out by just drilling to burnish the metal in the white.
Purely cosmetic to me and does not really matter. But a touch a white or red paint is much better.

The reticle adjustment screw looks good and the adjustment cap is well made and is full aluminum.

The bare scope without lens cap. I may put another cap from butler creek. But mind you the stock covers are decent too.

The diopter settings...

I have read a lot of good reviews on this scope and I have high hopes that this was a good decision as I could not justify the price of a 4x32 ACOG. I know this scope will performs well and is durable. Here’s a youtube vid done in its 4x scope.

I was really looking into their 5x prism scope model but decided to get the 3x as this was available and was convinced what with the 3x, is much easier to deal with using it both for CQB and intermediate range as compared to 5x.
And also the usual scope setup is a 3x magnifier right next to a red dot sight (RDS) , so with this PAC3X prism scope, is indeed a combo, you get a RDS with magnifier plus an ACSS reticle all in one.
