I don't know about where you all live but it seems everywhere in BC is sold out of GM215M Federal primers. I hate to mess with my load set ups, but the simple matter is if I can't get the primers I use, then I have to try something else. I reload primarily for a .338WM and .300 WSM but will be starting with my .270WSM as well. Just wanted to hear others experience with CCI, Winchester, etc.

Thanks

In my bigger cases, I use the WLRM primer and the Fed 215. The results are so little different that I feel they are almost compatible in most loads. That being said, safe reloading practices demand you drop back a bit and work up again if you change that primer. In every case in my experience, the average velocity is slightly higher with the WLRM than with the 215.[10-20fps] The CCI 250 is somewhat cooler in most applications/lot numbers. Regards, Eagleye

My experience with CCI primers is not getting any better. Their price of small pistol primers went from $35 (last fall) to $50 (yesterday). :(
