WSS actually exchanged the rifle for me today. No hassles at all. Tomorrow I'm back out to the Homestead range to see if the replacement is any better. They only had two and the other had a serial number about 4 different than the defective one, so I took this one.
Here's a picture of the bolt face on the new rifle before firing.
Still not that nice looking but the other wasn't an option what with being manufactured so close to the problem rifle.
The other thing I'm not pleased with is how dirty the bore was on the replacement rifle. I could swear it had rust in it when I pushed a patch soaked in Butch's Bore Shine through. Seems to have come clean anyway, after some serious effort.
