When I got into reloading a couple years ago I was given 800 LR magnum primers. I've used them in 303, 7.5 Swiss, and 8mm Mauser without any noticeable differences when shooting

My experience with magnum primers has been similar, except when it gets really cold, then the magnum primers keep things much more consistent as to when the firearm was sighted in.
I use magnum primers for everything I reload, including black powder cartridges.

Much ado about nothing. The op's thought process is a bit twisted.

Buy the primers, don't buy the primers, just stop whining about inconsequential things.
Good advice Thanks
