I have 2 reloading manuals. One says to use H335 with a Win 7 1/2 primer with a Nosler bullet and the other says to use H335 with a CCI 450 Primer with a Speer bullet.

My question is, can I use the 450 primers with the Nosler load even though it says 7 1/2? REM primer? Are the 2 interchangeable? (I have lots of 450 primers but no 7.5's)

THank you

Start at the lowest weight powder charge and use either primer, then work your way up in the conventional manner. - dan

So I should be ok if I start at the minimum load and work up to max or near max?

yes.
The primers are a recommendation.. thats what the manufacturer tested the load with that you are reading in your books. They are telling you what their results were....
By changing a primer, and going with something different than what they suggest.. make sure to keep a log of everything you did while loading those rounds, and also keep track of how they performed.
Once you find a load to be what you are looking for, you can go back to your reloading log and load the same combinations time and time again.
Each gun is a little different, and some like things that others dont.. so you never know what will work best until you try stuff out.

That is what the Speer manual reccomends using with the H335 powder and Speer bullets. So I went and bought H335 Powder and the 450 primers then found out I couldnt get the Speer bullets I wanted so I went with something smiliar/better from Nosler.

Thanks for all the help!
