Primers: Shelf Life

I have some CIL #8 1/2 Large Rifle Magnum primers that I'm still using. They are the last few hundred of a LARGE batch from at least 35 years ago, and are fine.
I think with proper cool, dry storage, primer shelf life is many decades, and probably indefinite.

primers

The last box of small primers I used had aprice tag of $12.95 for a 1000. I dont know how old they are, but they havent been that price for a long time.

DaveF: I also have a cache of Dom. 8 1/2"s. Am down to about 4000 of them. I use primers of newer manufacture for most jacketed loads and the Dominions are reserved for heavy cast bullet loads with slow burning powders. Mine were purchased about 1965 and have never failed to work. They have always been stored cool and dry.
