So I broke the primer on my RCBS press (yes I know an easy fix) but I am wondering what most other people use for priming. I see a Lee hand primer also a Lee primer that screws into the top of the press and has the priming part that goes on to the ram ( not sure what you call that system). I am loading more and more lately and if there is a better faster way I would like your suggestions.

Thanks

a lot of us use the AUTO PRIME rather than tie up the press ( which is what the lee prime 2 does if i remember correctly- or something similar

Ive been using the Lyman ram prime....not the fastest way to do it but has worked fine for me since Ive started. Maybe not as much feel as a hand primer but I can tell when the pockets are loose.

I took the suggestions of others and purchased the Lee auto primer and so far I think its great, it frees up the press and is fast,no touching the primers. I loaded up some 44 mag and 7MM rem mag tonight no problem, I highly recommend it

Buddy has the RCBS hand primer, I will use my Lee over the RCBS. Faster than priming on a press.
I spend about 10min to prime 100 rounds with Lee - vs. about 3min to fill the primer tube. But that's just me. The difference in time is negligible - but not having powder dumped all over the shellplate because of a missing primer makes Lee Autoprime priceless, IMHO.
