Hey Guys - I'm trying to get my head around this and I want to make sure I know what I'm talking about - for a change!

A holographic sight is something like the EOtech, right? I had one years back and didn't like it; I wear glasses and have astigmatism and I found that it blurred out for me.

So now I'm over at Wolverine and they have what they call 'prism sights' in that Burris AR 536. What's the deal with those? Can a shooter with glasses get along with them? Are any of you fellas running that particular scope? I am thinking of throwing one on my little 7.5" AR stubbie and just want to hear your two cents if possible.

You shouldnt have any issues with the AR536 and glasses. I have one on my AR with fastfire II on top. The missus has glasses and a bit of astigmatism and sees the dot on the fastfire as an oval odd shape but sees the reticle on the 536 just fine.

The AR536 is a great sight for the price and I like it better the my old AR332, the extra zoom makes a big difference on longer shots.

I have the Vortex Spitfire 3x and it has great glass and an etched reticle. Nice sight. My brother who has a horrendous astigmatism tried it and loved it.

If you do have an astigmatism and holo sights try diode red dots. Prismatic sights are usually an illuminated etched reticle to my understanding. There is the leupold prismatic.

Were you looking at the dot on the eotech because for them you should be running both eyes open and superimpose the dot on the target.
