Oil and scrubbing, chemicals and scrubbing, ect. is fine but there's a dozen magazines at least needing some work, and they're mini14 & m1 carbine magazines so they're not cheap to replace

Is there a business or individual any of you recommended who can blast and parkerize or blue these for me?

Or cost wise, am I just better off doing this myself

I use 000000 steel wool soaked with WIPE OUT to remove rust on firearms and magazines.

Wipe Out dissolves the rust and the steel wool wipes it away.

Soft surface rust will wipe off down to the shiney metal in a few minutes after application.

I clean the surface rust off a few dozen shotgun barrels every year. A quick warm up in boiling water to remove all oily residues and an application of Cold Blue hides the shiney areas but it won't fill in the tiny pits without some more aggressive removal of other metal and finish.

For your purposes, Wipe Out will clean all of your mags very quickly and easily.

You can remove a lot of rust by using the rim of a case (brass) to scrape the rust away. It won't damage bluing. Then apply oil and see if it's good enough for you.

If they are rusty, boil them, that will convert the red oxide, to black oxide, which is bluing. It wont make them like new, but will make them blacker then just cleaning off the rust. After boiling, then use fine steel wool to rub off the loose oxides. If you get down to red oxide again, boil again.

Note, dissassemble first, and dont boil any plastic parts.

If only on the outside I would use a fine steel wool dipped in oil to get the rust off. Then get the oil off with break clean. Then cold blue. Once cold blued I wipe 3 in one oil on it and good to go. Oxpho Blue works well.

Birch wood Casey gun bluing kit will take care of it.
It has cleaning, rust removal, cold bluing , in the kit.
Costs about $50.
