Pro1000 with RCBS dies

Hi all,

I am putting together a reloading setup in 45acp, well I am still gathering the components I need and I have aquired a new set of standard RCBS dies. I also ordered a surplus Pro1000 directly from Lee ($82) but it is set up for 38spl/357. So I added a shell plate to the order.
Now without getting into a discussion on Lee vs. Dhillon or whatever else, I was hoping that someone could tell me whether or not the RCBS dies will function in properly in the Pro1000? Or will I need to use the shorter Lee dies?

The dies will work but you will need the powder through die for the powder charge station.

I'm not sure if the primer system is the same for large and small pistol primers on the 1000 but that's something to check out as well because .38/.357 are small pistol primer and .45ACP is large pistol primer unless you are reloading Win NT brass.

New 1000 pro in .45 are 125$us at some place in USA.
Ask Lee what you need to convert it.
