If Viper PST is your standard of target/tactical scope, but not happy with glass quality.

If Viper PST Gen2 not available around, or just the pricing don't fit your budget.

Here is the alternative (maybe even better in some ways):

Any warranty on these???

I sold my Viper PST Gen II because it was a lot of money for a few features but the glass quality when down in my opinion. I would love a cheaper alternative and these reticals look awesome.

If I am not mistaken ... These are made in China and if you Google it will show more information and review on these.

Hi,
I don't see any reviews around and very sceptical to buy this scope, whats return policy on this brand?
Do you have any suppliers in Ontario just in case if have have to go with service or exchange?
Thanks,

One question: are these also made in the philipines like the pst?

These are made in China. Vector make a while line of scopes and the Taurus is on the higher end of the line. I however have no idea if it can compare itself to the Viper PST line....but price wise you will find it varies a lot from vendor to vendor.

If the PST Gen II is not working for you, the closest competitor in price, quality, and warranty are the Burris XTR II and the Bushnell DMR II. The Burris glass is on VERY close with a better eye box and turrets with a slightly less attractive reticle, however you can get them with the Horus H59. The Bushnell DMR II has superior glass, turrets are equal or better, better retical, WAY better eye box. The Bushnell DMR II is the best of the three.

All three optics have a lifetime warranty and run about $1,650-$1,800.

Why would anyone consider a chinese optic with no reputation at all?

Basically most of Vortex products are either made in China or have major components made in China and taking advantages of low labor cost of Philippine.
Nikon, Bushnell and Burris/Steiner uses very similar strategy with some differences.
A couple older Japanese optical companies were owned by Chinese for a while.
Schott AG have three sub plants producing commercial grade optical glass outside of Germany, one of them is in China.
We are working on the details of life-time warranty for Canadian market only, will release the details once it's settled.

We are working on the details of life-time warranty for our Canadian market, will let every gun nutz know when it's ready.

I suggest you send out free scopes to the first 100 gun nutz that reply to this post, we will then use them this hunting season and give you a honest review of how your scopes perform. Glad to help!

I think it's cool idea, even though we can not afford that many samples to became surplus at this moment, maybe in the latter time, in a smaller quantities. Thanks anyway!

How about send one to only the first to reply. That would be me thanks :d

I'll take a 3-18x50 please? I'll post a first impressions review here after receiveing it as well as a functional review after I've put it to use. :d

It would be a great promotional idea for the product. Great advertising. And your cost of the scope would be tax deductible to you as a promotional expense.

Sometimes one has to get a little creative when marketing a new product.

Just an idea.

Wishful thinking on my part but I thought I would try. :d

If interested I'll send you my contact information.

Send me one, I'll put it on my 50 BMG. We aren't at the range much in October or November, but it will have about 500 rounds by the end of January. That will certainly separate the boys from the men! :)
