Here are my thoughts:
Reasons that many AR-15 owners are apathetic to this issue:
1) Most of us don't believe there is a chance in hell that it will happen.
2) Most of us own AR uppers that have barrels that are 16" or less and would need to keep the lower Resticted in order to legally use these uppers.
3) Most who currently own AR-15s and want a NR rifle for the bush already own one.
4) Given 1-3 above there are other more pressing issues (with a better chance of success) regarding firearms regulation in Canada to concentrate on.
