problem i had with new browning 725 field

Has anyone ever had this happen? a browning 725 field 12g brand new out of box, I shot 25 shells on clays and passed it to a friend to try. about half a box in the gun wouldn't lock closed or reset triggers. not sure if he didn't bang it open and closed hard enough or what it could have been. I took it apart and put it together again and opened and closed it a few times and what I noticed was the tab you push to open the action didn't move to the middle closed position.it was like the spring was out of it like the full width pin was somehow locked or jammed back. maybe its part of breakin or action needs cleaning? what do you guys think? it works like new right now.

It could be just a burr from machining, and might have worked its way loose.

Same thing happened to a buddy on the skeet field. He sent it to browning ... long story. He ended up getting his money back and bought a ceaser guerini.

I have heard stories of a similar issue with the Cynergy line of O/U, I'd like to know what is happening to the newer Browning O/Us. Might just be a few bad guns that got through.

I called browning canada and they said its unheard of. Called USA side and they said it happens from time to time. All they do is clean the ejectors or extractors. Apparently debrie can cause this to happen.
