Problem installing springs/rods on rem 597

Hi,

I just installed my new VQ edge extractor which didn't take very long at all, the frusterating thing at this point is I can't line the springs and guide rods up. Theres got to be an easy way to do this that I'm missing. I try to hold the spring in the action while I'm pushing the rods through but the springs bind and fall out everytime.

any tips?

I stick the spring in the bolt and slide the guide rods in one at a time while feeding the rod through the spring. Pull back on the spring to keep it tight on the guide rod and prevent kinking. First couple of times were quite frustrating though but now it takes a few seconds to reassemble after stripping.
