Problem - Winchester 1200 dropping shells

Hey guys, got a bit of a problem here. I have an old Winchester 1200 and it's starting to act up, sometimes when I pump it it doesn't chamber the next shell but rather drops it on the ground. I've cleaned out the magazine tube thinking it might be gunked up but it's still doing it. It seems to me that the spring isn't pushing hard enough to put the shell on the lifter in time. Thinking maybe I need to find a new magazine tube spring. Does anyone else have an opinion on what could be causing this?

when was the last time you took the action apart for a good cleaning

I've taken it all apart save for the trigger group and cleaned it, it definitely seems to be a problem relating to either the magazine tube or the lifter.

pull the trigger group its only one pin by far the easiest shotgun i've ever tore down.
Sounds like the elevater arm is hanging up. it is hinged in the trigger group.

Had the same problem with a 1300. New mag spring fixed it up for me. I used a new and slightly longer one.

I have had the same problem with my 2200 it was the ejcter that was blocking the lifter.
