Problem with A 550B

Am reloading 45 ACP and the spider keeps tightening after I have loaded a few round and tends to lock up. I unscrew and slack the holding bolt and am back in business. Any ideas/opinions to combat this problem would be most appreciated.

Did you tighten the set screw in the ram that keeps the bolt that holds the shell plate from turning?

I think Silverback hit it on the head. If still no success, call Dillon direct, they are awesome with helping the loaders. Gunmedic.

the shellplate bolt will tighten if you don't make sure the set screw is tight...

Thanks for the input guys. Found the set screw under the press just after my "mayday". Must be Alzheimers......

If you have a problem with a DILLON call them. They must have a press in front of them and be reloading between calls because they know their stuff and have the answers. If there is a part problem it is in the mail and on the way right now, usually no charge.

Dillon is amazing to deal with,had a tumbler that the wires kept breaking off the motor,got in contact with them,they had me ship it to them they replaced the motor and shipped it back no charge,I even told them it was a used unit that was given to me because of that problem.
