Problem with adding compensator to Semi auto

Hi all!
Thinking of threading and adding Compensator to my semi auto. Any thoughts on if it could affect the cycling action?

"...if it could affect..." It won't. The rifle is gas operated.

You should be OK as long as you do not shorten the Barrel. Some semi-auto rifles are very sensitive to barrel length some are not. Some are ajustable for gas presure and some are not.

Do most barrels require annealing of the area to be threaded for the muzzle brake?

"...require annealing..." Nope. Barrel steel machines easily. It's a job for a lathe though.
