Received my new Aimpoint T1 today and the red dot isn't visible (even in a dark room) until # 6 of 12 on the brightness dial.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

TIA.

Aren't the first few settings for NVDs? That might be the reason for you not being able to see the dot.

I was wondering about that possibility myself but it would seem strange for 6 of 12 settings to be devoted to NVD - and there's no reference to that in the materials that came with the T1.

Read it again, the first 4 settings ARE for NVG, and #5/6 are designed for use at night.

Even with high end NVG's 1 & 2 are hard to see. As for me during the day time in shadow's/trees I find 8 is my favorite setting and except for bright sunny summer day's I never put it on 12. As it gives off way too much bloom. Oh ya one other thing is if you leave this sight on for the next 4 years I doubt you will have to change your batteries if you live below the 55th parrel. Unless you lever it out in -40 C over night. Then ya your battery will probaly be no good. Same with being in Ossyoss in the dead of summer and leave in in the direct sun all day while tring to burn threw a few thousand rounds but yet again it the battery that will fail not the optic.
