problem with lock out die

so i just got a rcbs lock out die due to all the rave about them and am having nothing but problems im loading 45 acp with tightgroup and the end of the lockout die goes right through the powder to the bottom of the case everytime even when i triple load it so is this a known issue or am i doing something wrong

If you've installed the correct plastic tip at the foot of the plunger, this shouldn't happen. Be sure you've installed the large one.

I rather expect there is more to the problem. If the plunger goes to the bottom of the case your die should be locking out. I'd load a case with the exact powder required and set up that die on the flat surface of your bench per directions. If you can't get that to work, there is something wrong with the die. That plunger simply aligns idents within the die and should have only its own weight resting on the powder, supported by the (large) plastic foot.
