So I got 3 M14s from Marstar. 1 for me and 2 for other people. 2 disassembly easily but the third one will not. The trigger assembly is impossible to take out. It looked like it was slightly covered by the stock so I took off a bit of the wood to uncover it. Still won't come out. Any possible ideas why it won't come out? Is it defective? Will I have to send it back?

did you #### it first ?

I've seen this before...... the stock wood has swelled, locking the trigger group into the stock.
if you can get the trigger guard to fully open and you hear a click, the hammer has cocked, put the safety on. Now with the trigger unlocked fully, turn upside down and bang the stock butt on the floor or your knee to break the action free, holding the rifle by the rear sight area and the handguard area. you should be left with a stock with a trigger group stuck in it.
find a good location on the triger housing to place a ramming instrument of some kind and tap with a hammer till the trigger group frees from the stock.

otherwise take a chisel to the chu wood and destroy the stock if you have to :D

I see you have a good sense of humor!!! ha ha ha:runaway:

Cheers
Jay

I'm not joking dude. I disassembled it, then put all the parts except the stock into the dishwasher with a dishsoap tablet thingy. Cleaned it up real good in there. I took out the parts one at a time quickly rushed them to my table and dried them and hosed them down with Rem Oil. No rust at all. Put it back together. Whole process took like 45 minutes. Did it that way with all three rifles. Works perfectly.

ETA: While it was in the wash, I cleaned off the stock with a cloth soaked in bleachy water in order to try killing the mold.

Enjoy the addiction and don't forget to read all the sticky(ies) at the top. ... Then download the 2004 Abbotsford clinic, you get 7 (or is it 9 ?) hours of my stale jokes.

Norinco Stocks Versus SKS Stocks Prices ?

Something rotten in Denmark. Goto Fabsport and compare the Norico M14stock $169 with rust and all with a new SKS Fusion Rifle Camo System includes an upgraded handguard with built-in Picatinny/Weaver rail that does not interfere with the use of the iron sights and also included in the kit is our popular SAW pistol grip featuring a more ergonomic angle and increased width for greater comfort and control for the same $169, wow something not right here?

trying to sort out your post, you're comparing the price of a USGI synthetic stock (used) with a brand new synthetic stock for an SKS?

If that's true, USGI synthetic stocks seem to be on the kinda rare side whereas SKS stocks are "dime a dozen" everywhere.

No kidding. I can't believe Ramline makes a cheap synthetic Garand stock, but not one for the M14.

this "gap" in the synthetic stock market will soon be filled........ I have a few tricks up my sleeve and this is the first and only hint i will let squeak out here on CGN.

there is a reason why you still do not see me listed as a dealer yet...... getting the ducks in a row so to speak. Good things are coming hehehe

how's that for a teaser :runaway: :D

are you telling us you didn't bother putting stock into dishwasher? I thought stock is the ONLY part that goes into dishwasher.

45ACPKing - good luck on your ace up the sleeve by the way.

Yeah, I cleaned off the thick grease with the dishwasher. I plan to get a USGI fiberglass stock that is Olive Drab or some colour like that and I don't know if the other guys wanted to refinish their stocks. I may dishwasher my stock and refinish it for until I get a USGI stock.

We're going to tell your wife on you. ;)
