Hello, I have an issue with My Daisy Powerline 856. I plan on giving it to my cousin for his 7th birthday if I can get it working. I will explain the issue the best I can. When you pull the trigger it doesn't always work, it's as if it's catching on something, when it does manage to fire it doesn't feel smooth. It catches very early in the pull and with more force it will fire but it takes effort, probably more than a 7 year old could muster, not that I'd like to give him a pellet gun that doesn't work perfectly anyways. Hopefully one of you out there knows the problem and can explain how i can go about fixing it.
In the event that no one knows the issue I may bring it to a gunsmith that is not far from here but it's possible that could cost more than the value of the pellet gun.
I had two of these identical rifles and the trigger issue started a few years back and at the time I just used the other rifle instead. I had given the other rifle to my other cousin who is the little guys older cousin, I have no use for them anymore and they're the first firearms(if you can call them that) I owned and I got them when I myself was only 7 and would like to keep them going if it's possible.
Thanks in advance!
