I just bought a Surefire 600C scout kit off the EE. The kit includes two lamp assemblies: 1) an incandescent lamp; 2) an LED powered lamp. The incandescent lamp works fine. The LED lamp seems dead as a doornail. I've verified that things are assembled correctly, that the batteries work, and that the batteries are installed correctly.
Does anyone own one these kits/light? If so, is there something I am missing which might be causing the LED assembly to not function properly?
The unit was basically NIB. Apparently, it was mounted but never used, and the visible condition of the unit would support that. I don't think the seller even ever mounted the LED assembly. I bought it from a reputable EE member, with a good rating, so I doubt he was aware of the problem (if there even is one).
Anyway, if you know how to get this puppy shining, then let me know.
