problems sighting my 338wm

Hehe, the suggestion to sell is in advance of purchasing another that is better fitted to the OP. Think of it as actually introducing two new rifles into the shooting world.

If the rifle is truly a poor fit than it would probably best to sell. I also restocked mine with a Boyd's stock and that seemed to help a lot. I almost let my 338 get into my head, but instead I worked on it and shot lots and feel I'm a better shooter because of it. I would like to see this situation work out the same.

Never mind letting some one else try it. It is your gun, it doesn't fit you in more ways than one, you don't like it, so sell it.
Then give hard thoughts about getting a new rifle. Really, what will that 338 do that a good 30-06 can't do? Without hesitation I will state that no other calibre has as much going for it as does a 30-06. Get a good bolt action 30-06 and don't look back.
