Problems with Bushnell Elite 3200

I went out to the range to sight in my new Remington 700 SPS Tactical, I was having a hard time getting it on paper. So I tried shooting it at a large target at 25 yards, I noticed it was shooting about 9 inches low barely on the target. So cranked up the elevation, and fired another round and it was still at the same height as the last shot. I cranked it up about 20 clicks and tried again same spot ... So all I can figure is something is broken internally ? I'm pretty sure the elevation isn't maxed out because it's still clicking and appears to have a ways to go up still. Anyone else had this problem with an Elite 3200, I thought these were supposed to be fairly sturdy scopes ? I thought I had read they were used on .50 Cal Barretts. Apparently Bushnell has a warranty on their scopes, has anyone dealt with them ?
 
The same thing happened to me in May,using a 3-9x40 Banner model.
I'm still waiting for replacement/fixed scope from them!
The lady at the counter said this was the 3rd scope out of just one shipment for the store! And the problems where from different sorts of models/price ranges, not just the cheapo banners.
 
It could be pooched but remember that at 25 yards it takes about 16 clicks move an inch in some cases.
 
Ya, at 25 yards you'd have to click a hell of a lot.

And, with my Elite 3200, I had to shim the rear base on both my SPS V and on my Ruger 10/22 because I could not get the elevation adjustment to give me enough.

If the POI isnt changing when you click it like 32 times, then maybe you do have a problem with the scope though....
 
I'd say this is a problem with the gun, not the scope. As Merllin mentionned shimming will likely solve your problem.

If you had to crank it up as much as you indicated with no change in poi, I would say it's the scope and not the rifle, 25 yds or not. You get what you pay for when it comes to glass. Bushnell is crap along with their warranty service. Some would disagree of course because you ask 5 guys and get 7 opinions. In this day and age you should not have to piss around with shims with a basic setup as this.
 
If the scope is new, the store should cover your warranty. Bushnells are warrantied for life and they will replace or repair, it is not overnight however.

All I use is Elite Series Scopes and have had no issues, these are the cheapest of the good scopes IMO and they have served me well.

My warranty experience was with a pair of binos I found at a store I used to work with, the boss gave them to me, I sent them out and Bushnell repaired them a month or so later.
 
No issues with my 3200 10X whatsoever. If anything I want another one but in higher magnification.
I do have an old Banner that is doing the same thing yours is though. I'm thinking about sending it in to see if they'll repair it actually, as I like it.
Like has already been said, take it back to the store if you can, otherwise you can check on Bushnell's website and see the details of sending it to them for repair. You have to pay for shipping to and from the US from what I remember.

NOw it has been a few years but when I sent mine there was a canadian repair center and you only had to pay shipping one way. Double check before sending it to the US.
 
Thanks for all the info guys, but I screwed up :D I mounted the scope 90 degrees to how it should be so the elevation and windage were reversed. When I was clicking it up it was actually moving left. I noticed some creep to the left when I was sighting it in but I just assumed it was me, as someone said with 1/4 MOA clicks at 25 yards you need about 16 clicks to move 1 inch. Looks like I won't be testing out Bushnell's warranty after all.
