problems with ksg barrel

I just got my ksg from Epps last week cleaned it and proceedo to fire 200 rounds now iam not sure what's causing this but the last 2 inches of the barrel is so dirty with plastic from the wads its not funny,you can peel the plastic out with your fingers its that bad,any ideas of what caused this I have never seen plastic like this in a barrel before iam leaning towards a rough machined barrel

Mine is exactly the same. Super thick black crusty plastic right at the end of the barrel. I actually put my 12ga brass brush in a drill and gave 'er a spin and I still can't get it all out. I've also got a spot the size of a loonie halfway down the barrel that is crusted with plastic.

so far i fired 40 rds out of mine, cleaned it today, looks fine..

~350. I cleaned it after 150 but I couldn't get all the dirty plastic out. Then the next 200 just made it worse.

did you try some choke tube cleaner?. I got some aerosol from my local that is amazing.

wow, i never heard of that problem before.

i just checked my barrel and its totally fine. more than 300 hundred rounds have been fired through it and it was cleaned once last month.

While I have no experience with that particular shotgun, try using a tornado brush to get the plastic out. Much, much better for that than a standard bronze bore brush.
