Problems with tight primer pockets

Hi you gunnutz!
I recently purchased 150 bulk winchester, .308win cases.
I did all the checks and uniforming steps. Neck Sizing to create fresh concentric case mouths, then trimmed all cases to 2.000" to create a square case,
Deburred the inside primerflash holes,
Uniformed the primer pockets with my Sinclair uniforming tool,
Checked wall thickness,
Weight segregated the cases.

After all of this prep, when I went to prime the cases, I had to apply "considerable" force to my Sinclair precision priming tool, just to seat the primers.
Enough pressure to cause the radius of the primer cup to noticably flatten.

This occurred with about 30-40% of the cases.
I have primed literally thousands of primers with winchester brass, but never encountered this problem.
I even tried four other primer types to see if I got a bad batch of primers.
All types were the same.

Have any of you gunnutz experienced this before? 

I just hate to remove material from the diameter!
But I go to do what I got to do!

I must have been massively lucky to go this long withouthaving to ream pockets! Lol!
I have had a primer pocket reamer sitting on my bench for more than 15 years and forgot I even had it! 

My lapua 6BR cases were a ##### to prime the first time but got easier after firing.

Even after 20 reloads on some the brass I have few if any loose pockets.

see how they prime after they have been fired before removing any material. Might mean you get a few extra reloads out of the brass.

Funny you should mention winchester primers, those are the only ones I didnt try. Lol!
I've got lots, but just didnt try them.

i'm hoping they will loosen up after firing them.
I want to use these cases for long range shooting and want dependable ignition for precision.

Thanks guys for your input!

I had the exact same problem with some Winchester brass for my 22-250.

I did a google search and apparently other people had the same problem.

Definately got a good forarm work out that day after priming a couple dozen cases.
