Hi you gunnutz!
I recently purchased 150 bulk winchester, .308win cases.
I did all the checks and uniforming steps. Neck Sizing to create fresh concentric case mouths, then trimmed all cases to 2.000" to create a square case,
Deburred the inside primerflash holes,
Uniformed the primer pockets with my Sinclair uniforming tool,
Checked wall thickness,
Weight segregated the cases.
After all of this prep, when I went to prime the cases, I had to apply "considerable" force to my Sinclair precision priming tool, just to seat the primers.
Enough pressure to cause the radius of the primer cup to noticably flatten.
This occurred with about 30-40% of the cases.
I have primed literally thousands of primers with winchester brass, but never encountered this problem.
I even tried four other primer types to see if I got a bad batch of primers.
All types were the same.
Have any of you gunnutz experienced this before?
