Procedure to buy restricted private from EE

Buyer pays seller.
Seller initiates transfer.
Seller gives transfer reference number to buyer.
Buyer calls CFC to complete transfer.
When the transfer is approved the seller mails the gun.
When your gun arrives at your post office you have to call your CFO and get an STATT to transport the gun from the post office to your residence.

Getting an STATT isn't hard, usually just a 5 minute phone call, have your reference number and address of the post office ready before you call.

He is rural.. pickup ATT at Post office req'd the benefits of rural life :)

Can't get Signature and home delivery to a RR? I used to when I lived in the country... If not by CP, get CanPar or UPS to ship it to your door. I'd inquire about it as getting a STATT and burning your gas wouldn't be necessary if you get it delivered to your door.

this, + I like to see the buyer RPAL before sharing my personal info for the payment.

you can ask for your STATT before the arrival at the post office, the ATT is good for 31 days.....

What personal info are you giving out? All you have to do is accept an EMT payment only and send them a Yahoo, Gmail or any email address as to where to send the EMT.

Not by Canada post and in winter the other carriers just want to do a drop ship to somewhere else.. at least around here.

So Canada Post office is the only game in town.

Why can't fedex or someone deliver to your door?

Thanks for the replies guys, sounds easy. The post office is only at the corner but its in a rinky dink store, not too secure to hold a gun overnight in my opinion. I would have C.P.to a main secure P.O. that is the next closest. We are not home during the day to receive parcels.I have had good luck shipping and receiving NR firearms from there. We just call them guitars and away they go LOL but having them know I am a gun guy has it's drawbacks if a handgunish parcel shows up that I can't pick up that same day. Not that I dont trust them but I would rather maintain discretion and deal in the next town over.

Lol. I guess that's one downside to living in the country. I still don't understand why some dealers put clear tape with their name on it... It's so obvious but no one in the city clues in to it... I think :)
