hey,

I was shooting a little match last night, and I was surprised by the number of people shooting production with FO sights... Glock... SP01... I guess the list of guns where that's a legal option is growing... Can't wait for my K100
 
? maybe they were in standard?
I just asked this question on the IPSC forums. Someone there should know.

I was confused re the G17 FO, but the person told me it was a factory option... ?? I don't know... I was equally surprised by the SP01, but apparently it came from Angus Hobwell, the CZ sponsored shooter, so presumebly he'd know what was legal and not... ?
 
Omen you should ask IPSC1 I will tomorrow night...unless he answer this before about the SP01.....I think he told me before that if CZ-USA was selling it it was then legal.....but I won't put any money on that one....
 
The CZ SP-01 is the ONLY Production pistol that is allowed a FO front sight, because "evidence" was provided to Vince Pinto that it was indeed a factory option. The FO front sights that are supplied with Springfield XD pistols from the factory are NOT legal because they come from Springfield's Custom Shop, not the factory. Big difference. :rolleyes:
Personally, I think that it's wrong to only allow FO sights on one brand of pistol. They should be legal or not legal.
 
I don't think the MD have to be concern(expert in all pistol manufacturer).....but the RM on the other hand should know most of this...still at some level 3 I have seen shooter re-class to Open pretty late in the day.....like at the last stage.....and it wasn't done by neither the RM or MD.....impossible to know every gun and combination possible....as a RO I can only try and learn....more and more.....

Was this an IPSC match or a USPSA match?

well, see, now we get into things are aren't in the rule book, so I'd be disinclined to accept this. There is no official list of guns with FO allowed. my K100 will have FO sights, and I will have a letter from the factory (not the distributor, but from GrandPower itself) confirming this is a factory option... So, Vince's opinion to the contrary means #### to me ;)

Yes, GP producing Fiber Optic front sight for K100.
and, at present, we made some modification of groove for front sight, ant FO will be from next series availablble with FO front sight in 2 modification: FO + rear micrometric full adjustable sight, and 2, : standart radius side profil rear sight+ front FO.
