Gentlemen,
WW2 Started in Sept. 1939. Ordnance starts to speed up Production on the M1 Garand.

Guys try to post some data on what you might have found of interest or some different data you have read about. This is one way to learn the History of the M1 Garand.

Get copies of 'Hatcher's Notebook' and his book on the Garand. They are out of print but available on the net from dealers.

The latter book takes you through the complete design and development process and solving all the teething problems that happened in early service.

Also a good section on the magic of making it an accurate match rifle.
